Slowly but surely it's coming together.

A Stocking for a Boy

This is the beginnings of my next cross-stitch project. It's a "boy" stocking with a motif of toys. I got it from a Better Homes and Garden book of Christmas stocking patterns.



For those of you with an interest, this is being stitched on Mushroom colored 28-count Lugana evenweave fabric. The stitches are done over two threads with three strands. I have used a full cross-stitch, a half cross-stitch, and a backstitch.

I sketched this with a pen at the bar while waiting for customers to arrive. I couldn't find the original, it was on a notepad.

Now I just have to sew the background.
